Maximum flexibility in lighting: A new generation for infusion

Maximum flexibility in lighting- A new generation for infusion mifm july 2013The next generation Infusion™ LED modules are now available from GE Lighting, offering significant wattage reductions and improved levels of efficacy. The interchangeable module range includes M1000, M1500, M2000 and M3000 versions, providing an ideal LED lighting solution for retail, hospitality and office environments.

Today’s fast-changing environment requires innovative ideas to make the most of all sales tools. And lighting in particular is an effective, creative and easy way to maximize any shopping experience. Retail therefore requires highly flexible lighting options, especially when it has to highlight and create different displays. GE Lighting has developed the module InfusionTM LED that opens the door to a new concept of lighting design.

Developed to offer users ultimate flexibility, InfusionTM LED modules are interchangeable thanks to a simple twist fitting. Users can alternate beam angles or light packages to suit changing requirements – and they are directly upgradeable, future-proofed to allow a direct replacement as efficiencies improve, without the need to change fixtures.

As such, GE Lighting’s InfusionTM Generation Three range of LED lighting modules now offer significant wattage improvements when compared to Generation Two. The previous wattage of the M1000 module for example was 15W – this has now been reduced to just 13W.

Similarly, the M1500 module was 23W – this is now only 20W. Likewise, the M2000 was 30W and has now been reduced to 27W. Possibly the most impressive saving overall though is the M3000 module, which was 46W and is now just 40W.

As the InfusionTM range continues to grow, incorporating the M4500, Narrow Punch Module (NPM) and Downlight Modules (DLM) too, there is a product to suit, whatever the requirement meaning specifiers can select the most appropriate solution – offering a range of lumen packages, from 850 to 4,500 lumens, GE’s InfusionTM module can meet a wide variety of lighting needs and delivers high colour rendering, with CRI ranges to Ra > 90.

Andy Davies, Sales Development Director, LED Modules – Europe and MEA for GE Lighting, said: “This latest upgrade to the InfusionTM LED range means we can now provide a wide range of modules with greatly reduced wattage requirements. Owing to low energy consumption and a future proof design, the Generation Three InfusionTM LED module is the ‘go to’ lighting choice for private and commercial applications.”
