Social housing repairs and maintenance provider, Mears Group has been awarded a new five-year, repairs contract for 8,700 RHP homes following a detailed procurement process.
Building on an established, 11 year relationship, Mears will continue to provide routine and gas repairs, gas servicing, voids and planned services for RHP (Richmond Housing Partnership), a London based housing company that manages over 8,500 properties.
The new contract also includes the opportunity to offer local apprenticeships within the team, with plans to recruit five new apprentices in the first year of the contract.
Anna Benbow, director of property services at RHP, says:
“The procurement process involved a high level of input from our customers and asked potential contractors to demonstrate their commitment to RHP’s customer service ethos. We really look forward to continuing our partnership with Mears, taking our repairs service to the next level and fixing it fast to last for our customers.”
David Miles, Chief Executive at Mears, says:
“Our strong 11 year partnership with RHP has seen us innovate and evolve our service offering. We look forward to continuing the next stage of our partnership; delivering excellent services and the highest levels of customer satisfaction.”
The contract, which begins in June, will initially run for five years and includes the option to extend for another five in the future.
