Ahlsell is one of the leading suppliers of materials to the Nordic Facilities Management, Plumbing, Ventilation, Electrical, Tools and Personal Protective Equipment market and employs around 1,000 people across Norway.
Mitie’s remit will include cleaning, waste management, mail services, security, snow clearance and maintenance services as well as providing catering services for meetings. Mitie will partner with Ahlsell in supporting its overarching property management strategy.
The project covers 47 sites across Norway, which previously managed their own services, and will be the first Norwegian client to adopt Mitie’s gatekeeper model. This means Mitie’s team will take on full responsibility for property management, leaving the stores’ own teams free to focus on core business. The service will be backed by a dedicated helpdesk solution which will simplify processes. Channelling all property and facilities requirements through the helpdesk, Mitie will provide data and insight which will enable further service efficiencies and enhanced management information.

This is the first time Ahlsell has outsourced these services and is the most valuable contract to be won by Mitie’s Norway team to date.
