Mount Green selects Gilmartins for new 10-year repairs contract

South East-based housing association, Mount Green, has awarded a new 10-year repairs and maintenance contract worth nearly £15 million to Gilmartins.

The contract, which commenced 1 April 2022, will see Gilmartins provide responsive repairs, out-of-hours services and repairs to empty properties before they are re-let across Mount Green’s 1,600 homes.

Mount Green has been working over the last two years to overhaul its repairs and maintenance programme by redesigning a new approach, whilst also bolstering the size and expertise of its property services team.

A priority for Mount Green was appointing a repairs contractor that not only had the technical capability required but also shared its resident-centric approach to customer experience.

Following a robust tender process, Mount Green awarded the contract to Gilmartins based on its comprehensive bid, which included an enhanced service for its customers and delivery on its social value agenda.

The family-owned contractor delivers repairs and maintenance services for a number of other housing associations and local authorities, including Look Ahead, Origin Housing and Wokingham Borough Council.
