Lancashire County Council (LCC) has awarded Neales Waste Management a two-year contract extension to manage two of the county’s waste transfer stations.
Under the terms of the extension Neales will continue to manage and operate both Preston and Middleton waste transfer stations on behalf of LCC. Each facility processes between 50,000 to 60,000 tonnes of general household waste and recycling a year. Over the course of the contract Neales will deliver up to £1 Million of savings through improved efficiency and materials management.
Commenting on the announcement of the LCC contract extension, Neales, Director, Hugh Stewart said:
‘At Neales we are delighted to be continuing our partnership with LCC. We will be delivering the same high quality service and implementing a number of operational developments to realise an even greater saving for Lancashire County Council and its residents.’
