New NHS contract opportunities for FM service providers announced

Contract-wins5Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) notices for two new complementary Buildings and Facilities Management professional services frameworks have been published, with an ambition of attracting suppliers, including small and medium enterprises (SMEs), who can deliver projects of various sizes and achieve value-for-money for the NHS.

Collaborative procurement team, NHS London Procurement Partnership, is establishing the frameworks to provide LPP’s NHS members with access to a range of suitable suppliers of professional services across buildings services and advisory services.

The first framework focuses on Building Services while the second framework focuses on Advisory Services. The two frameworks are complementary and will, where possible, follow the same tender timescales and procedures. However each framework is stand alone, with a separate OJEU Contract Notice and separate PQQ and ITT responses required. As a result, any supplier wishing to participate in both frameworks will need to provide two separate responses, one for Building Services and one for Advisory Services.

To reduce the administrative burden on suppliers, LPP has adopted Constructionline, the UK government certification service for construction-related contractors, consultants and material suppliers.

A supplier event is being held on 26th February 2014 in central London, to give suppliers an opportunity to hear more about the frameworks – full details are available on LPP’s website. (LPP stresses that attendance is not a requirement of bidding, and will not be part of the evaluation process.)

The deadline for responding to the OJEU is NOON on 14th March 2014, and the frameworks are expected to go live by June 2014. Links to the OJEU notices on the LPP are available on the website.
