The facilities services division of NG Bailey increased sales by 20 per cent over the past year, the group’s results have revealed.
The sales growth was even higher than the 12 per cent achieved for the group as a whole.
In the year to 26th February 2016, turnover within the Facilities Services division – led by managing director Stuart Linington – rose to a record £69m.
Linington, managing director commented:
“We have built an enviable reputation in the industry for delivery excellence, and this has been the foundation for our work-winning and customer retention successes over the past few years.
“It is an extremely competitive market, so in order to succeed you have to demonstrate an affinity with the customer’s objectives and have an ability to consistently add value. As part of that we have developed a customer excellence programme that focuses on ensuring we deliver a high quality service at all times.
“We have succeeded in adding more blue-chip companies to our customer portfolio over the past year, but just as importantly we have been able to retain and expand our existing customer relationships.
“We have an established energy team within NG Bailey which will help us take advantage of our strong reputation in energy management – a service we deliver for customers including Morrisons and Land Securities.
“Being part of the NG Bailey group helps differentiate us in the market. For many customers our ability to act as a single contact point for their facilities, IT and engineering needs is a significant benefit.”
The group attributes its strong results to the success of its diversification strategy. Over the last four years, NG Bailey has placed an emphasis on better balancing its portfolio of work across services (IT, energy and facilities management), larger scale infrastructure projects and traditional building construction.
