Apleona HSG Facility Management UK has been awarded a multi-million pound contract to deliver additional facilities services on behalf of the Hull and East Yorkshire (HEY) Hospitals NHS Trust over the next 14 years.
The contract agreed with Infrastructure Investors Castle Hill sees Apleona’s Public Private Partnership (PPP) division deliver reactive and planned maintenance technical services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Service provision at the building located at the Trust’s Castle Hill site includes heating, ventilation, water, medical gas, electrical services plus lighting and fire prevention systems for departments including Urology, Radiology, Endoscopy, Lung Function and an Outpatients area.
Apleona PPP already delivers facilities services to Hull Women and Children’s hospital as part of an existing 30-year contract signed in 2003.
James Thoden van Velzen, Apleona UK and Ireland Chief Executive Officer, said: “Through securing this long-term contract alongside our existing 30 year agreement, it demonstrates the strong relationship and mutual confidence that we have developed with the Trust to ensure that their buildings are safe and available at all times for patients, staff and other users.”
