Norse catering appoints operations director

Andrew Lipscomb has been appointed Operations Director of Norse’s £23+ million catering division.

The role will see Lipscomb responsible for directing Norse’s catering teams in Schools, Care Homes and Commercial clients.

Prior to joining Norse, Lipscomb, a qualified chef, spent seven years with ISS Facility Services, as Education Regional Operations Director, looking after Local Education Authority contracts covering Redbridge, Richmond, Kingston, West Berkshire, Bracknell and Slough.

Nick Maddox, Group Director of Operations commented: “Andrew has a practical background in commercial kitchens, combined with operational and financial experience at senior level in facilities services, plus a real passion for great food service. These attributes mean that he will be a key board-level team member as we continue our planned growth, across all aspects of our catering operations.”

Lipscomb said: “I see food being an integral part of people’s lives. In education markets, Norse not only provides high quality meals, but also helps schools teach children about the importance of nutritionally balanced food, and how it helps them concentrate in the afternoons.

“In Care Homes the company plays a key role in helping with keep our Senior Citizens healthy, and in commercial catering facilities Norse’s catering management and operational expertise play a vital role in maintaining staff wellbeing.

“These, and working with the local community around food education, are challenges that are very close to my heart.”
