Norse grows Joint Venture portfolio

Facilities Management (FM) services provider Norse, has further expanded its portfolio of Joint Venture (JV) Companies with the formation of Newport Norse.

Valued at £7.3 million, the 10-year agreement with Newport County Council will involve cleaning and FM services, including planned and responsive building maintenance, portering, management of the Newport Indoor Market, and strategic property services including the estates team, design team and energy management.

Around 200 staff will be transferring into the new JV company.

Commenting on the new JV, Peter Hawes, managing director of Norse Commercial Services, said:

“We are delighted to be working with Newport County Council in this new joint venture, to deliver a wide range of services. This latest agreement reinforces Norse’s position as one of the foremost groups in running innovative local authority partnerships.”
