Norse Group forms new JV in the Midlands

Norse Commercial Services has teamed up with High Peak Borough Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council to form a joint venture partnership – Alliance Norse.

The newly formed company is now providing a wide range of services across the two Midlands councils, including building maintenance and repairs across corporate, public, investment and 4,000 tenanted homes, total facilities management, major capital projects, highways, and compliance management.

Justin Galliford, Chief Executive Officer of Norse Group, said: “We are excited to be bringing our wealth of experience, commercial flair and public sector ethos to the Staffordshire Moorlands and the High Peak.

“Our approach to service delivery with our public body partners is evolution, not revolution, to improve quality, efficiency, and reliability, and we’re looking forward to getting started.”

Councillor Paul Roberts, Leader of Staffordshire District Council, said: “Providing efficient and effective services is a priority for the Council. We constantly review how we deliver these services to ensure we’re providing the highest quality at the best value for money price.

“The Norse Group is an established, experienced provider of property services and facilities management, and we’re delighted that High Peak and Staffordshire Moorlands can look forward to improved, more efficient, effective services through this new partnership.”

Fiona Sloman, Executive Councillor for Housing at High Peak Borough Council, said: “We are always looking to improve the services we provide, and one of the biggest benefits of this new partnership is the enhanced housing repairs service we will be able to offer.

“Thanks to the modern, digital systems Alliance Norse will use, our housing tenants will receive text messages and updates. It means we’ll be able to deliver better communications from the start, which I know will be a very welcome improvement.”
