Norse grows its school portfolio in Medway

Norse Commercial Services has won a two-year cleaning contract, worth £270,000, at Walderslade Girls’ School in Chatham, Kent.

Commencing 1 August 2018, the contract will be operated out of the company’s locally -based subsidiary Medway Norse. Services include the daily and periodic deep-cleans of the school’s classrooms, staff rooms, communal areas, sports hall and toilets and wash facilities.

The contract is the 20th Medway school to be added to the group’s cleaning services portfolio in the area since August 2017, representing a total annual value of around £2.3 million for Medway Norse.

Operations Director, Phil Johnson, commented: “2017 was a very successful year for Medway Norse and the 2018 financial year has started exceptionally well.

“The cleaning service is delivering acknowledged improvements in the schools, increasing our external contract work substantially in the last 11 months. This growth provides us with the opportunity to continue our organic growth.”

Under the agreement, 11 staff will TUPE transfer into Norse.
