Norse renews string of security deals

Norse Commercial Services security division has won a number of contract renewals and increased its hold on event stewarding across the East Anglia region.

Under a new two-year agreement, Norse Security has retained its static guarding and events security provision at Norwich’s Forum, and renewed a three-year contract with Victory Housing for mobile patrol security services.

Ipswich Borough Council also awarded Norse Security with a new three-year deal earlier in the year which included additional security provision at the local authority’s Christchurch Mansion museum.

The three deals are said to be worth around £250,000 per annum.

Speaking about the contract renewals, Norse Security’s director Richard York said:

“We are delighted to have been re-awarded contracts with some very prestigious clients in the region. It’s also  been a very busy first half of the year on the event stewarding and security side, covering a lot of shows, concerts and sporting events across the east of England. In Norfolk these included the Great East Anglian run through Kings Lynn, the North Walsham Carnival, the Ferry Fest music festival at Reedham and road closures and stewarding for the Active Norfolk women’s cycle race around the county where we deployed around 70 personnel.”

In late July, Norse will provide overnight guarding of the marina at Gorleston Norfolk, when it hosts the National Schools Sailing Association’s week-long National Youth Regatta, with some 400 yachts taking part.
