Office Principles delivers ideal Meeting ‘Place’

Office Principles has completed a turnkey fit out solution for international meeting rooms provider, Meet in Place in its new London space on King William Street.

The award-winning design and workplace consultant cut two weeks from the original works programme to accommodate Meet in Place, co-ordinating the project to ensure that all third party suppliers delivered on time and that furniture was in place, with all packaging removed, so that the 6,200 sq ft space could become fully operational at the earliest opportunity.

Work included a full fit out to create a cellularised space, accommodating a variety of rooms with a boutique hotel approach, in keeping with the brand. Particular attention was given to acoustics, along with compliance to building regulations, in relation to access routes for fire safety, fresh air and bathroom facilities.

Joint managing director of Office Principles, Cyril Parsons explains: “We took meticulous care and were rigorous in the level of consultation from a building control perspective as the intended occupancy exceeds the amount that the building was originally designed for.

“The client wanted an engineered timber floor throughout, with an oak finish, to reflect the style established in its premises in New York and Tel Aviv. Our concern was to ensure that this didn’t have a detrimental effect, in terms of the acoustics, and could be integrated with the partitioning, while also creating a smooth transition from the lift to the general office floor space.”

Stefanie Sebald, design director for Meet in Place, is delighted with the levels of skill and professionalism demonstrated by the Office Principles’ team: “OfficePrinciples had previously completed work for other tenants at this address and we were greatly impressed by the team’s conscientious approach, ensuring that final presentation was flawless.

“They put a lot of effort into the early stages, making sure the transition period working with us as a design lead client, and other third parties, was seamless. Good co-ordination was key to the whole project and the standard of management was highly impressive.”

Office Principles hopes to team up with Meet in Place for further projects later this year when the company rolls out its further planned spaces at a variety of addresses around London.

Holding a strong and varied commercial portfolio, Office Principles has worked with blue-chip brands such as Exterion Media, Telegraph Media Group, Visa Europe, GE Capital, Fitness First, Tata Communications, ResMed, Direct Marketing Association, Land Securities, Mothercare, and Kuoni.
