Optimum Group Services (Optimum) has won a five-year extension to a maintenance contract at Lloyd’s Register’s headquarters in Fenchurch Street, London.
Optimum has provided mechanical and engineering (M&E) and fabric services for this prestigious property for the past three years. Under the new contract, Optimum’s dedicated team of engineers, supervisors and managers will continue these duties for a further five years.
Lloyd’s Register is a leading global assurance business, and within this corporate setting, Optimum recognises that its team’s appearance, customer care and communication skills are equally as important as their technical ability. Optimum’s recruitment and staff development processes puts strong emphasis on employees’ soft skills. As a result, a courteous, well-mannered team of engineers has been established at Lloyd’s Register.
In tandem, Optimum has developed a comprehensive technical induction and site-specific training programme for its engineers focusing on the client’s needs. This induction programme is designed to identify the development needs of each team, whilst providing career pathway options for individuals to progress.
Tod Harrison, managing director of Optimum Group Services, commented:
“It gives us great pleasure to retain this contract for another five years and it’s a clear indication that we are delivering top quality services. I’m particularly proud to see the benefits of our training programmes coming though as we have continuously invested in our staff development plans ranging from apprenticeships to MBAs.”
