National facilities management provider, Phosters FM, has added the National Army Museum to its expanding portfolio.
The Worcestershire-based company recently secured a three-year contract for the provision of hard FM services to the British Army’s central museum, located in Chelsea, South West London, along with its archive warehouse in Stevenage.
With five galleries and over 2,500 artifacts on display, the museum tells an enthralling story of the British Army’s engagements and history, from the civil wars in seventeenth century Britain, right up to present day conflicts.
Since undergoing a major redevelopment between 2014 and 2017, the Chelsea location attracts over 235,000 visitors per year and currently employs 85 permanent staff.
Commenting on the contract award, Alistair Brown, Group Business Development Manager at Phosters FM, said: “Phosters are honoured to add such a prestigious venue to our portfolio. We understand the importance of the properties and the artifacts held within and to that end Phosters are committed to providing a first-class service and maintaining the assets to the very highest standard. We look forward to working closely with the museum’s team and building a long and prosperous relationship.”
