Construction and facilities management firm, Polyteck Group, has expanded its presence in the Middle East following the award of a new contract with commercial property services firm Cushman & Wakefield.
The five-year Doha-based deal, worth approximately £6 million over its term, will see Polyteck deliver a range of services at Beach Tower, a 34-storey luxury residential tower in the Qatari capital.
The building in West Bay, a newly developed district in Doha, features 264 apartments and a penthouse health club for use by its 500 occupants.
Polyteck has employed a 24-strong team who will be responsible for MEP (mechanical, electrical and public health) maintenance services, life safety systems and water treatment, as well as reactive works, civil works and health & safety.
John Polycarpou, Chairman, Polyteck, said: “We are delighted to win this contract as it has enabled us to expand our operations in the Middle East. Qatar in particular offers many new development opportunities as a result of the forthcoming World Cup in 2022.
“This is a prestigious site and we look forward to working with Cushman & Wakefield to deliver our UK expertise to the Middle East.”
The company now has an annual turnover of £1 million in the Middle East through existing contracts with Al Shaya, a leading international franchise operator.
