Salvation Army extends cleaning contract with Julius Rutherfoord

The Salvation Army has awarded Julius Rutherfoord an extension to its current cleaning contract to deliver cleaning services at the charity’s new training facilities.

Julius Rutherfoord is already responsible for the daily cleaning of the Worldwide Christian church and charity’s international headquarters in London.

The Salvation Army’s training facilities, the International College for Officers is relocating to Sunbury Court, near London (pictured), following a major redevelopment of existing facilities. The site consists of a conference centre and a Grade II listed mansion, which is being extensively restored and renovated. Accommodation is also being developed at the site – with 85 rooms planned.

Under the contract, Julius Rutherfoord will be responsible for cleaning the entire complex, which will be used by delegates and affiliated organisations from across the world. The contract involves maintaining the conference facilities and providing hotel-style housekeeping for the accommodation, to include towel and laundry services and toiletry replenishment.

James Bennett, operations director at Julius Rutherfoord, said:

“We are delighted to be working with this renowned charity which has a long history of helping vulnerable and marginalised people across the world.

“One of the reasons we were successful in winning this contract was that we demonstrated extensive experience in delivering a quality cleaning service to similar sized organisations across London. We are also responsible for protecting and maintaining different fabrics within both modern and historic buildings for a number of high profile organisations.”
