Searcys has announced a partnership with London charity, Beyond Food, which aims to help those who are most at risk of homelessness to gain meaningful employment.
The company-wide campaign will launch in November, raising the charity’s awareness across its venues and events and aiming to reach over 100,000 guests. The funds raised will go to support Beyond Food projects and fight homelessness.
According to Rough Sleeping Statistics Autumn 2017, rough sleeping in London has more than doubled in the last six years with well over a thousand people sleeping on the streets of the capital city every night. Beyond Food plays a key role in supporting vulnerable adults who are at risk of, or have experienced, homelessness to gain sustainable employment in the hospitality industry.
The campaign will invite guests dining at Searcys restaurants to donate £1 per bill. The same scheme will be extended to private dining and events at 30 Pavilion Road, St Pancras Brasserie by Searcys and Searcys at the Gherkin venues during the festive period. The ‘A very Searcys Christmas’ campaign will bring people together around food, celebrating kindness and generosity.
Anna Fenten, Head of Communications, Brand and Marketing at Searcys said: “We are hugely proud to get behind this initiative with Beyond Food, a charity that is really close to our hearts. The holiday season is a crucial time for the hospitality industry to celebrate joy and happiness, but also an important time for charitable giving which will support the future generations of chefs.”
