SGI appoints Velway as FM partner

Velway has won a new deal with property investment and development business, Scarborough Group International (SGI) to manage the FM aspects of its national portfolio covering areas from Edinburgh to Newport, to Central London.

The national property and facilities management provider will manage compliance across the SGI portfolio, working with Redpath Bruce as managing agent to ensure that the properties are managed within their agreed service charge budgets. Velway will also have responsibility for completing a range of small project works.

Velway’s directors and operational team have previous experience working on the SGI portfolio meaning the transition of processes and information has been “seamless”. Velway has built the portfolio into its computer aided facilities management system and embedded the client into its standard operating model with “great success”.

Leading the Velway team is Operations Director, Matthew Wilson, who is supported by National Facilities Manager, Jack Tindell.

Commenting on the contract win Wilson said: “Scarborough Group International is recognised as one of country’s leading property investment and development businesses. Having worked with SGI previously I look forward to building on our existing positive working relationship and delivering excellence in service throughout the contract. For Velway to be chosen as their facilities management partner is a clear reflection of Velway’s excellent growth and development since it was founded in February 2019.”

Howard Cartwright, SGI Property Director, added: “We are delighted to have appointed Velway to undertake the facilities management on our national property portfolio. Having worked with them previously, we are extremely confident in their ability and approach to deliver best in class service and we look forward to further strengthening the relationship.”
