Shepherd FM has announced the renewal of its contract to provide critical mechanical and electrical (M&E) services to the RFU’s iconic Twickenham stadium ahead of the world cup later this year.
The three-year contract was awarded following a formal competitive tendering process which saw Shepherd FM compete with a number of other heavyweight FM players.
Shepherd FM has an intimate knowledge of the stadium having worked at Twickenham for five years and will now take on additional responsibility for a number of new assets following a major £76 million refurbishment of the stadium in preparation of the world cup and beyond. Shepherd Engineering Services were part of the infrastructure upgrade team.
Commenting on the contract renewal, Noel Clancy CEO for Shepherd FM said:
“I am extremely proud of our achievements at Twickenham. Our strong customer care ethos combined with our strong management team has allowed us to build a relationship at all levels built on trust and openness.
“We very much look forward to supporting the RFU in providing what is arguably one of the best rugby spectator experiences in the world.
“We are proud to be associated with the RFU during this exciting phase.”
