Shield Pest Control has been awarded the contract to provide pest control services at St Katharine Docks, the vibrant marina in the heart of London.
The historic estate near Tower Bridge includes a marina, restaurants and shops, four commercial buildings including International House and Commodity Quay, and luxury residential apartments.
Shield Pest Control’s managing director Daniel Steward, said:
“St Katharine Docks is a large site covering over 10 acres and as a major tourist attraction it has a high visitor footfall. It’s a complex and diverse site retaining underground arches from its historical roots, and its proximity to water means that rodent monitoring and prevention is a key element of both internal and external pest control services. It’s especially important to have dedicated personnel looking after this kind of contract as their site knowledge is invaluable in monitoring and prevention.”
St Katharine Docks is Shield’s latest addition to its portfolio of prestigious sites that also includes the Royal Households and the Houses of Parliament. Shield was granted a Royal Warrant in 2008 for its services across Buckingham, St James and Kensington palaces and is one of only 850 companies in the UK to hold a Royal Warrant.
