Sodexo has seen 19 of its managers graduate with Level 4 diplomas in facilities management from its Global Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) Academy.
The two-year course gives attendees an insight into the FM marketplace, the skills and knowledge to manage and operate FM contracts and understanding of international practices in the FM industry.
Graduates work across a range of Sodexo UK and Ireland segments, including its Corporate Services, Schools & Universities and Healthcare businesses.
Sarah Perry, Sodexo UK and Ireland HR Director, said: “Management development is not only key to the future of our organisation, but the clients and consumers we serve. The Global IFM programme enables a terrific amount of upward movement in Sodexo, providing a fantastic return on the investment we make in our colleagues.
“I am especially proud of this cohort of graduates, as they have been a group of ‘firsts’ – tackling the inaugural global qualification, as well as managing the uncertainty of Covid-19.”
A total of 53 people have graduated from Sodexo’s Global IFM Academy since its launch in 2019, with two-thirds gaining an internal promotion following their qualification.
The diplomas are accredited by the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM).
