Sodexo, have plenty to smile about having received 11 awards across its business at the 2014 International Safety Awards, held at London’s Grosvenor House on Friday 25 April.
Over 500 entries are submitted each year, and the awards which recognise competence in terms of health and safety management systems, are carefully adjudicated by an independent panel of chartered health and safety professionals.
Four of the awards went to Sodexo Justice Services, with HMP Peterborough awarded a distiction and HMP Addiewell, HMP Bronzefield and HMP Forest Bank picking up merits.
Sodexo Healthcare sites, Central Manchester Hospital and North Staffordshire Hospital picked up distinctions while Wythenshawe Hospital and Tillery Valley Foods, Sodexo’s prepared foods business in south Wales, received merits.
The ceremony reconised the overall business of Sodexo Corporate Services, crediting it with a merit, alongside Sodexo Remote Sites which also received a merit for the fifteenth year in a row,
The first ever Sector Awards were honoured to Sodexo’s team in Scotland for its oustanding safety operations in the Hotel, Catering & Hospitality category.
