Sodexo has been awarded a five-year contract to provide integrated facilities management (IFM) to six schools in Exeter.
The contract which commences this month, is valued at £4 million annually and is part of Modern Schools Exeter private finance initiative (PFI) which is responsible for the education of 3,600 pupils across six schools in the city.
Under the terms of the deal Sodexo will provide all FM services, covering everything from catering, cleaning and property maintenance through to security, helpdesk and energy management.

James McInnes, Devon County Council’s Cabinet member for schools, said:
