Sodexo wins IFM deal at Richmond University

Sodexo has won a three-year contract worth £3.5 million per annum with Richmond, The American International University in London, to manage and deliver all facilities services across its two campuses in South West London.

The integrated facilities management contract will see the university outsource the management of all of its cleaning, security, catering, reception, helpdesk, grounds maintenance, building maintenance and energy procurement to a single Sodexo team. Sodexo will also provide a new technology infrastructure to support the delivery of these services and to provide clear performance management information for the University.

Sodexo has provided catering at Richmond University for nine years. As part of the contract, which starts in February 2018, 35 staff will join the existing Sodexo team.

There is enormous potential for us to support Richmond in its strategic objectives, particularly around improving its physical environment and optimising its use of space to meet the changing needs of students, faculty and staff.”

Richmond, The American International University in London has circa 1,500 students studying predominantly liberal arts and business studies courses. The University has a very international student population, with an intake from 100 countries. It has 16 buildings in total, with sites predominately in Richmond and Kensington.
