Spectrum toasts 7th COMAH win

Spectrum has won a cleaning contract with one of Scotland’s leading whisky brands, Glen Turner Ltd at its Starlaw Distillery in Bathgate, West Lothian.

Under the contract terms, Spectrum will provide cleaning services to the offices and associated areas, canteen, bottling hall and the distillery.

Spectrum has worked with a number of leading drinks brands over the years across numerous facilities including distilleries, production, bottling plants, distribution, and visitor centres, and knows the importance of keeping these areas extremely clean and sterile. This is particularly true in the cases of sites managed under the Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) regulations.

The COMAH Regulations are applicable to any establishment storing or handling large quantities of substances of a hazardous nature, including production facilities and warehouses. These sites work under stringent health and safety conditions, of which Spectrum must comply when carrying out its services.

The Glen Turner Starlaw distillery is Spectrum’s 7th COMAH site win.
