SPIE opens new northern hub

Independent provider of electrical and mechanical engineering and HVAC services, energy and communication systems, SPIE UK has announced the opening of its new northern hub in the Venus Building at Manchester’s Trafford Quays.

The move brings together six teams, previously geographically separated across the North West, into one building for the first time, allowing for closer employee collaboration and a more holistic customer service.

SPIEThe Venus Building is a modern, 8,500m2 structure, developed by Peel Holdings. Featuring a glazed atrium, the exterior of the building incorporates an impressive landmark sculpture and water feature. Occupying the entire first floor, and half of the ground floor of the building, the collective SPIE team is now located just a short walking distance from the largest retail complex in Europe, the Trafford Centre. The light, modern offices have been designed specifically to promote staff wellbeing with brand new furniture, IT facilities and services in place.

Steven Nanda, managing director, industrial services commented:

“It has been really encouraging to see how well everyone came together as one team, or ‘One SPIE’ to deliver our vision for the Venus office. That collaboration has continued and I am sure this will lead to many new ideas for the benefit of each other and our customers. The new space is a bright welcoming environment, with plenty of break out areas and hot desks, packed full of facilities to hopefully make that elusive work life balance that little bit more achievable.”
