SPIE wins hard FM deal in Liverpool

SPIE UK has won a six-year contract with Liverpool City Council for the delivery of hard facilities management across 10 schools in the City.

The contract is SPIE UK’s ninth from a public sector organisation in the past 12 months and covers the maintenance of building fabric, building services, hard landscaping and pest control services.

Awarded after a rigorous competitive tender, the work complements the services that SPIE currently provides to sixteen schools on behalf of Liverpool City Council.

Stephen Taylor, Operations Director at SPIE UK, said: “The award of this contract is testament to the collaborative approach that the SPIE team has taken to delivering solutions and results for Liverpool City Council across its schools’ portfolio.

“SPIE has substantial experience and expertise in the field of education and we look forward to providing the pupils and teachers of these schools with the perfect environment in which to fulfil their ambitions.”

Claire Slinger, Assistant Director for Regeneration, added: “It’s important to us that we work with companies on a collaborative basis in order to deliver high quality workmanship and results on time. The SPIE team will provide us with solutions that meet our needs. We’re confident that SPIE will deliver against our expectations and those of the schools, their governors, teachers and pupils.”
