Spinning Gate bags new security provider

The Spinning Gate Shopping Centre in Leigh has appointed ExcluSec Security, part of The ExcluSec Group based in Trafford Park, Manchester, as its new security provider following a comprehensive and competitive tender process.

Spinning Gate, which is owned by Atmore Group who appoint Legat Owen as managing agents for the scheme, hosts 40 retail units within 110,000sq ft of retail space in Leigh Town Centre, and has a flat surface on site car park for 300 cars.

ExcluSec Security will provide the centre with 10,000 security hours annually, protecting the four million shoppers it attracts each year.

Speaking about the contract award, Karen Cox, Centre Manager of the Spinning Gate Shopping Centre said: “ExcluSec Security demonstrated a clear understanding of the centres tender and provided not only the most suitable and effective security solution, but a good cultural fit for the centre. ExcluSec Security implement technology based systems, complimenting their people centric ethos which match the centres requirements.”

The centres SIA licensed security officers have transferred to ExcluSec Security under TUPE and will undergo comprehensive training and development programmes.
