Davies, who was previously Head of Corporate Responsibility at international built environment consultancy Turner & Townsend, is now responsible for the development and lead delivery of the NHSPS’ responsibility strategy. This will include establishing a programme that creates more spaces to support social prescribing, whereby people can benefit from non-clinical, local services, provided by community and voluntary organisations that improve patient health and wellbeing.
Davies said: “NHS Property Services has an important purpose – helping the NHS to transform to enable excellent patient care. I’m very much looking forward to bringing together boy experience in the property sector and corporate responsibility band applying it to a social purpose that I am passionate about.
“We are developing an ambitious corporate responsibility agenda at NHS Property Services that connects everything we do back to how we add value to the NHS and society at large. I’m particularly keen to grow NHSPS’s work on social prescribing and to take a leading role in creating spaces to support wellbeing in our local communities.”
