Industry responds to mandatory carbon reporting for LSE FTSE 100

Industry has responded to Defra's announcement of mandatory greenhouse gas emissions reporting for businesses listed on the London Stock Exchange FTSE 100. The plans, which were formally announced by Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg at the opening of the Rio+20 sustainability conference in Brazil yesterday, will force around 1,800 firms listed on Britain's main stock market to report their emissions in corporate earnings reports, starting next April.
