The ExcluSec Group has been awarded a three-year dual services provision contract at the Spinning Gate Shopping Centre in Leigh following a successful 12 month security contract at the centre in 2018.
Privately owned by Atmore Group, who appoint Legat Owen as managing agents, the Spinning Gate Shopping Centre hosts 40 retail units within 110,000sq ft of retail space which attracts four million shoppers each year.
The contract sees The ExcluSec Group providing the centre with 10,000 security hours and 8,400 cleaning hours annually.
The centres SIA licensed security officers continue their employment with The ExcluSec Group having achieved great successes over the past 12 months, minimising retail crime, enhancing customer service delivery, increasing retail liaison and assisting with first aid incidents in centre.
The centres cleaning team has transferred to The ExcluSec Group under TUPE. In addition to providing a front and back of house cleaning service, the team also provides a waste management service, collecting and processing waste from centre stores. Last year, over 107,000kg of waste was collected and processed, all of which was diverted from landfill.
