Travis Perkins Managed Services has been awarded a five-year materials supply contract with One Manchester, a provider of housing and community services
The contract worth up to £2 million per annum means Travis Perkins Managed Services is now fully responsible for One Manchester’s repair and maintenance supply chain looking after the association’s 12,000 homes in Central, East & South Manchester.
Travis Perkins Managed Services will help One Manchester reduce costs and increase efficiency by providing the right range of products at a better value, whilst also providing easy access to materials.
This will free up One Manchester’s repair and maintenance employees and contractors to work more efficiently on the 50,000 maintenance visits they undertake every year.
Dennis Wellington, Head of Maintenance at One Manchester commented: “Streamlining our procurement processes and the way we use building materials will greatly improve our supply chain management across our operating area. As well as improving our repairs and maintenance service for customers, the cost savings and other efficiencies created as a result of this partnership will allow One Manchester to invest in further service improvements.”
As part of the partnership agreement, Travis Perkins Managed Services has opened a fully refurbished and dedicated warehouse/distribution facility at One Manchester’s Quattro House in East Manchester, which stocks all the heavy and light side materials required by the housing provider’s repair and maintenance staff.
