Vertas signs up to TFM deal at Suffolk One

Vertas Group has successfully mobilised a new soft total facilities management (TFM) contract at Suffolk One in Ipswich.

Locally based FM provider Vertas beat other regional and national companies to provide a TFM service across the One campus which includes student, staff and visitor catering, cleaning, grounds, concierge and security.

Vertas has also launched one of its new catering brands at the site – ‘Vive’ which has been created with young adults in mind. It boasts ‘street food’ style branding with a modern design and reflects the dining scene of central London, including; live cooking demonstrations, branded products and a wide range of local and world dishes.

The new contract, which began at the beginning of the new term has allowed Vertas the opportunity to showcase innovation when reshaping the current building services. Some of the services Vertas has begun providing at Suffolk One, include:

  • Market leading further education catering, using local produce tailored for the 16-19 market
  • Innovative cleaning services using Orbio technology, as well as window-cleaning and housekeeping
  • Customer focused concierge and helpdesk to remove the headache for the client and to create a lasting first impression for students and visitors
  • Award winning grounds maintenance, looking after the whole site, including the Multi-Use Games Area, as well as waste management and pest control.

Group managing director of Vertas, Ian Surtees, said:

“It is a great opportunity for us to provide total facilities FM services to a building of Suffolk One’s stature – with the eye-catching design inside and out, through to their recent outstanding Ofsted inspection, Suffolk One is fast becoming one of the top education facilities in the county.

“I am extremely proud of the hard work that has gone into making this new contract a success. My team and I are very excited about the rollout of our new catering concept to those at the college; the students and staff being the first to try our new ‘Vive’ catering brand, which was created via a project working group, feedback sessions and working with students at our other partner sites.”
