Employers in FM and property services are being asked to submit views on industry apprenticeships and qualifications.
SummitSkills, the Standard Setting Organisation conducting the survey, will use the feedback to review and potentially update what’s currently in place, to ensure future training meets employer needs.
In April 2016, SummitSkills was appointed to issue the apprenticeship certificates for the facilities management, property, cleaning and hygiene sectors.
Nigel Hollett, chief executive of SummitSkills, commented:
“As part of our discussions with FM industry employers, trade associations, awarding organisations and training providers, we’ve realised that some of the apprenticeships are out of date or have qualifications that have expired – so an urgent review is necessary.”
“If you work in this sector we need to hear your views. With fundamental changes to the apprenticeship system currently taking place, it is vital that employers play an active role in decision making.”
The survey runs until 18 July 2016.
