Independent catering company, Wilson Vale, has moved into its new eco-friendly corporate headquarters in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire.
Designed and built to Wilson Vale’s specification, the new building now houses Wilson Vale’s head office team of 35 and its growing operations team who support 95 diverse catering operations throughout the UK.
A substantial investment for the firm, the new building features a 49-kilo solar array, low energy lighting and energy efficient, triple glazed windows throughout, and in keeping with Wilson Vale’s comprehensive CSR programme, ‘It’s a Natural Choice’, there are built-in water taps fitted within the building providing purified water so there will be no need for bottled water.
Another interesting aspect of the building is that staff won’t have individual bins to encourage people to walk to central recycling zones.
Electric car chargers are also available for staff as the caterer has made a decision to replace its fleet gradually with efficient petrol or hybrid models to support the improvement of air quality.

Wilson Vale currently employs 750 people and has a projected annual turnover of £33million for its current financial year ending December 2018.
