Procurement organisation and social enterprise, Fusion21, has appointed 40 specialist firms – 42 per cent being SMEs, to its national Decarbonisation Framework worth up to £1.5 billion over a four-year term.
The framework, aims to help deliver zero carbon goals, reduce emissions, maximise cost savings, achieve social value targets and support domestic and non-domestic retrofit measures.
Built on a turnkey model the framework is split into two lots:
- Lot 1 – Whole House Decarbonisation
- Lot 2 – Decarbonisation of Public and Educational Buildings
It offers an updated specification, flexible procurement routes, relevant and refreshed 2025 pricing models, regional and national coverage, and the ability to deliver multiple measures at scale and volume.
The framework stands ready to deliver projects in receipt of government funding including the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund Wave 3 and future stages (formerly SHDF), which facilitates everything from the installation of energy performance measures to developing the retrofit sector.
Additionally, the framework supports The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) which aims to help cut emissions by 75 per cent from public buildings by 2037.
Peter Francis, Group Executive Director (Operations) at Fusion21 said: “Decarbonisation and achieving the Government’s ambitious net zero target by 2050 is no easy task, so we are delighted to support our members via our robust and evolved Decarbonisation Framework.
“Our refreshed offer provides access to experienced suppliers and consultants, qualified to the latest industry accreditations and ready to help our members on their Net Zero journeys – delivering warm, safe, and comfortable housing and public buildings, whilst achieving social value they can see.
“Through its social value delivery, the framework will support the development of green skills training and the creation of employment opportunities.”
