WPS awarded 15-year responsive maintenance contract

WPS has won a responsive maintenance contract, valued at £150 million, with social housing provider Notting Hill Genesis (NHG) as a Primary Tier One contractor.

The new deal for an initial five years – with two additional five-year extensions – expands on WPS’ partnership with NHG where it has been maintaining its homes for over 13 years.

Under the new contract, WPS will be responsible for the delivery of day-to-day responsive repairs across 16,000 homes including social rented, private rented, supported housing and communal areas in leasehold properties.

Dom Fusco, Divisional Director at WPS, said: “We are delighted to build on our partnership with NHG, which started back in 2012. In recent years we’ve not only worked together to look after thousands of homes for NHG’s tenants but have also created more than £9 million in Social and Local Economic Value Add – through our spend with local suppliers and SMEs, plus initiatives with community and charitable organisations – so we are delighted to continue to work together to create even more thriving homes and places locally.”

Brett Hohls, Director of Repairs at NHG, commented: “We’re pleased to be strengthening our partnership with WPS, building on the foundations of our existing relationship. Our procurement and repairs teams have secured enhanced agreements offering broader coverage and stronger contractual terms.

“This is part of our new approach to repairs developed by listening to over 1,000 residents who have helped shape a contract that puts customer experience, quality and accountability at the heart of everything we do. This means we will have greater oversight of repairs performance, helping us deliver the high-quality service our residents expect and deserve, while continuing to create thriving homes and places across our communities.”
