Green Apple Award for Peartree Cleaning Services

Professional cleaning and facilities solutions business, Peartree Cleaning Services, has received a Green Apple Award for ‘Helping the Environment’.

The award, presented on 17 November at the House of Lords, recognises the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental leadership.

Established in 1994, the Green Apple Awards (run by The Green Organisation), recognise, reward, and promote environmental best practices across companies, councils, communities, and individuals globally. The ‘Helping the Environment’ category highlights organisations that demonstrate exceptional efforts to improve their environmental impact.

Peartree Cleaning Services earned this recognition through a series of impactful sustainability initiatives, including reducing single-use plastics by 88 per cent through the adoption of soluble cleaning sachets, transitioning 95 per cent of its company fleet to electric vehicles, and sourcing paper products exclusively from sustainable suppliers. These actions form part of Peartree’s broader environmental strategy to reduce its carbon footprint across all operations.

In 2025, Peartree demonstrated its ongoing commitment to sustainability through several major achievements. The company has earned a Gold rating from EcoVadis, (placing it among the top five per cent of companies assessed globally), secured Neutral Carbon Zone (NCZ) Gold Certification for the second consecutive year, and joined the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), taking tangible steps to align its operations with global climate goals. Peartree has also formalised both its near-term and net-zero targets, underscoring its dedication to long-term environmental responsibility.

Stuart Conroy, Commercial Director at Peartree Cleaning Services, commented: “We are extremely proud to have been awarded a Green Apple Award for ‘Helping the Environment.’  This recognition reinforces Peartree’s continued commitment to environmental stewardship and our ambition to lead the cleaning and facilities management sector toward a more sustainable future.”
