Kimberly-Clark Professional reveals Golden Service Awards 2026 finalists

Kimberly-Clark Professional has revealed the finalists of the Golden Service Awards 2026. Now in its 34th year, the biennial awards are one of the most prestigious events and sought-after accolades in the facilities management and cleaning industry. The 50 finalists from 29 companies have been recognised for continued excellence, performance and commitment through today’s heavily challenging times.

The Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Awards will take place on Thursday 21 May 2026 at the London Hilton on Park Lane. One of the UK’s best known TV faces, Kerry Godliman, comedian and actor will host the awards and will be joined on stage by Craig Bowman, Commercial Director, UK and Ireland Kimberly-Clark Professional to present the 18 awards.

The announcement of the finalists follows the first stage of judging carried out independently by The British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc). The judges have announced there were more first-time entrants for the 2026 awards than any previous awards.

Neil Spencer-Cook, BICSc Group MD said: “The increase in first-time applicants was great to see and the high standard of entries made the paper judging process very challenging. There was a strong focus on staff development, welfare, and morale, whilst ESG stood out as a priority for everyone. This year it was a pleasure to see the passion, progress and forward thinking in the industry shining through. These are well deserved finalists.”

The following finalists will now go through to the next stage of judging which for most categories includes a site visit by a BICSc judge. The site visits will take place during January and February, with the judges looking for innovation, staff training, and client relationships as the main criteria for assessment. BICSc will be in touch in the coming days to arrange a visit or telephone interview.

E.ON and FMJ webinar: Moving from a reactive service to proactive services: Identifying energy issues early and automatically

Wednesday 14 January at 11:00am

Building Management Systems (BMS) have long been used to control the heart of a building – monitoring and controlling its essential systems such as lighting, ventilation, heating and air conditioning. Facilities Managers want the best visibility to help detect and deal with concerns before they become issues.

This webinar brings together the experts from energy network provider, E.ON along with FM thought leaders to discuss moving from a reactive service to a proactive service. By identifying energy issues early and automatically, instead of occupants reporting issues, then potential faults can be identified early and remedied. The BMS does this before the problem occurs by using smart alerting and EMC support services.

Panel:

  • Sara Bean: Editor FMJ (Facilities Management Journal)
  • Nick Westlake: Energy and Service Delivery Manager at E.ON Control Solutions
  • Sunil Shah, the author of IWFM’s Energy Management Good Practice Guide and MD of Acclaro Advisory
  • David Cermak, Regional Facilities Manager for David Lloyd Clubs
