Atlas Workplace Services receives Gold Medal for H&S

Atlas Workplace Services has been presented with a prestigious global health and safety award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

Following five consecutive years of receiving the top-level Gold Award, RoSPA has also awarded the facilities management and engineering maintenance business a Gold Medal. The prestigious international accolade recognises only those organisations which demonstrate exceptional commitment to health and safety over a long period of time.

Now in its 69th year, the RoSPA Awards, which receive almost 2,000 entries annually from over 50 countries, is the world’s largest health and safety awards programme, recognising those organisations and individuals who have set the highest standards in accident prevention.

Each RoSPA Award entrant is assessed against rigorous criteria with a focus on celebrating businesses and other bodies that are world leaders in shaping safer, healthier workplaces.

Karen O’Neill, Managing Director of Atlas Workplace Services, said: “The hard work that goes into achieving RoSPA Gold status for a fifth consecutive year has paid off and it’s a testament to our commitment to health and safety. This achievement reflects the strength of our occupational health and safety management systems, our commitment to risk control, and the proactive safety culture we continue to build across the business. Thank you to everyone who has helped us to win the prestigious RoSPA Gold Medal.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s Growth Director, said: “Atlas Workplace Services should be proud of the hard work and commitment to keeping people safe that has resulted in a RoSPA Gold Medal, which honours those organisations who have achieved the highest standards in health and safety in the workplace. RoSPA regards Atlas Workplace Services as a strong example of the importance of making accident prevention central to any successful organisation, not just for the benefit of employees, customers and clients, but also society as a whole.”

Sponsored by the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), the RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest running of its kind in the UK.
