Cardo Group, a leading provider of building maintenance and improvement services to social housing providers and public bodies, is strengthening its roofing capabilities with the acquisition of Faskin Group, based in Paisley, Scotland.

Founded in 2010 by Frank and Karen O’Hara, Faskin Group has grown into one of Scotland’s most trusted names in roofing. With over 50 years of combined experience, Faskin’s approach has earned a strong reputation for excellence, long-standing client relationships, and significant repeat business.

Bringing Faskin Group’s highly skilled local workforce into Cardo will add specialist local roofing expertise and the ability to offer more value to Cardo’s clients nationally.

Faskin Group will continue to operate under the ongoing leadership of Frank and Karen O’Hara as they integrate into the Cardo Group over the coming months.

Liam Bevan, CEO of Cardo Group, said: “We are pleased to welcome Frank, Karen, and the entire Faskin Group team into Cardo. Their reputation for quality, their hands-on leadership, and their commitment to developing people—especially apprentices—perfectly align with our values.

“Faskin Group’s deep expertise and strong market presence in Scotland enhances our national service delivery while supporting our long-term investment in skilled local workforces.”

Frank O’Hara said: “Excellence and quality have always been at the centre of Faskin Group. We’re proud of the team we’ve built, the apprentices we’ve supported, and the strong reputation we’ve earned for delivering work we stand behind.

“Joining Cardo allows us to build on that foundation—broadening our capabilities, supporting more clients while continuing to invest in the people and standards that Faskin Group is known for.”

E.ON and FMJ webinar: Moving from a reactive service to proactive services: Identifying energy issues early and automatically

Wednesday 14 January at 11:00am

Building Management Systems (BMS) have long been used to control the heart of a building – monitoring and controlling its essential systems such as lighting, ventilation, heating and air conditioning. Facilities Managers want the best visibility to help detect and deal with concerns before they become issues.

This webinar brings together the experts from energy network provider, E.ON along with FM thought leaders to discuss moving from a reactive service to a proactive service. By identifying energy issues early and automatically, instead of occupants reporting issues, then potential faults can be identified early and remedied. The BMS does this before the problem occurs by using smart alerting and EMC support services.

Panel:

  • Sara Bean: Editor FMJ (Facilities Management Journal)
  • Nick Westlake: Energy and Service Delivery Manager at E.ON Control Solutions
  • Sunil Shah, the author of IWFM’s Energy Management Good Practice Guide and MD of Acclaro Advisory
  • David Cermak, Regional Facilities Manager for David Lloyd Clubs
