It’s Clean has been operating across North and West Yorkshire for 26 years and has clients in a wide range of sectors including offices, schools, GPs, care homes, manufacturing, hospitality and events.
Orian has recently secured major multi-year contracts in the police and fire sectors, while It’s Clean continues to grow through new partnerships in the charity and insurance sectors.
David Whan, Managing Director of It’s Clean Ltd, said the move would bring together Orian’s strong governance, service quality, and commitment to social value and It’s Clean’s commercial experience, enhancing the Group’s ability to deliver flexible, high-quality facilities services across both public and private sectors across the North of England.
He said: “Orian’s wealth of experience in the public sector and standards of governance mean It’s Clean can now compete in new sectors.

“When I met their new CEO, John Donnison, it didn’t take long to see the fantastic synergies between our businesses, and we reached an agreement to join the Orian Group within days.”
John Donnison, CEO of Orian Solutions, commented: “By combining our strengths, we are well-positioned to become the commercial cleaning and contract catering provider of choice for businesses and organisations across the North of England, serving a broad customer base, supporting schools, councils, emergency services, charities and commercial clients across the North of England.”
The deal was completed on 1 September with Orian Group acquiring the shares in It’s Clean Ltd.
The It’s Clean office, branding and customer contact will remain the same, and Whan and his team will continue to lead the business, ensuring continuity as they build forward within the Orian Group.
The way we work has changed – yet, many organisations are still relying on rigid, one-size-fits-all tools to manage desks and meeting rooms, according to a new study from workplace management solutions provider, Matrix Booking.
Spreadsheets, calendars, and generic booking software may have worked once, but they’re struggling to keep pace with today’s flexible, hybrid workforce. The result? Wasted time, frustrated employees, and expensive underutilised space.
Matrix Booking’s new study, ‘One-size-fits-all booking systems don’t work for today’s workforce’, explores why current systems are falling short – and how organisations can reimagine workspace management to boost efficiency, employee experience, and cost savings.
