Dalkia UK has won a three-year facilities management contract with global technology leader Fujitsu, following an eight-month competitive tender.
The agreement, which commences on 1 December, will see Dalkia UK responsible for the delivery of mechanical and electrical maintenance, building fabric services and innovative energy solutions across five state-of-the-art data centres and 15 corporate offices across the UK and Ireland.
For the first time, Fujitsu’s UK data centres and corporate offices will be united under a single agreement, enabling standardisation, enhancing performance and unlocking efficiencies across the entire portfolio.
Ian Thomas, Director of Operations, Dalkia UK said: “This is an exciting start to a strong partnership between Dalkia UK and Fujitsu. By delivering a combined FM approach to both data centres & corporate buildings, we’re committed to supporting Fujitsu’s strategic goals. With a shared sustainability vision, we’re excited to get started and make a lasting impact together.”
Dave Hawkins, Head of Engineering, Fujitsu UK Properties said: “Our interactions during the selection process made it clear how committed Dalkia UK are to making the world more sustainable and building trust through innovation. We are delighted to share a mutual vision for forging a genuine, long-term partnership.”
Looking ahead, Dalkia UK says it will leverage its internal expertise and the strength of being part of the EDF Group to collaborate closely with its parent company and Fujitsu’s energy provider, to deliver on its bid promises.

Building Management Systems (BMS) have long been used to control the heart of a building – monitoring and controlling its essential systems such as lighting, ventilation, heating and air conditioning. Facilities Managers want the best visibility to help detect and deal with concerns before they become issues.
This webinar brings together the experts from energy network provider, E.ON along with FM thought leaders to discuss moving from a reactive service to a proactive service. By identifying energy issues early and automatically, instead of occupants reporting issues, then potential faults can be identified early and remedied. The BMS does this before the problem occurs by using smart alerting and EMC support services.
Panel:
- Sara Bean: Editor FMJ (Facilities Management Journal)
- Nick Westlake: Energy and Service Delivery Manager at E.ON Control Solutions
- Sunil Shah, the author of IWFM’s Energy Management Good Practice Guide and MD of Acclaro Advisory
- David Cermak, Regional Facilities Manager for David Lloyd Clubs
