Ecovadis Gold for Peartree Cleaning Services

Peartree Cleaning Services has achieved a Gold rating from EcoVadis, underlining its commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices. The rating places the business among the top five per cent of all companies assessed globally and reflects its comprehensive approach to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance.

EcoVadis is the global standard for resilient, sustainable supply chains, helping organisations to manage ESG risk and compliance, meet corporate sustainability goals, and drive impact at scale by guiding the sustainability performance improvement of a company’s value chain. It provides a comprehensive framework to evaluate sustainability performance, covering four key areas:

  • Environment – Evaluating how well a company manages its environmental impact, from waste reduction and energy consumption to carbon footprint reduction.
  • Labour & Human Rights – Ensuring the company provides fair working conditions, respects human rights, and fosters an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Ethics – Upholding the highest standards of ethical behaviour in all business dealings, from procurement to customer relationships.
  • Sustainable Procurement – Assessing the company’s supply chain to ensure their partners share a commitment to sustainable and responsible practices.

Brad Reames, Owner and Managing Director of Peartree Cleaning, said: “The EcoVadis Gold rating affirms our commitment to continuous improvement and responsible business practice. This was a companywide effort and we’re very proud of our team, and grateful to our partners for their contributions to this achievement. We remain focused on building upon this success while delivering excellence.”

Peartree recently launched its latest ESG Report outlining its achievements over the past 12 months, including a 21 per cent reduction in total carbon emissions year-on-year, a 95 per cent electric fleet transition, an 88 per cent reduction in plastic consumption, and the appointment of Georgie Hull as Sustainability Manager, demonstrating its commitment to embedding ESG principles at the core of its operations.
