First acquisition of 2026 in the bag for Ranger Fire and Security

Ranger Fire and Security has acquired Dorset-based alarm and security experts Partnership Fire and Security, marking the company’s 14th acquisition since its launch less than two years ago in February 2024.

Established in 1999, Partnership Fire and Security has grown to cover more than 3,000 customers across Shaftesbury, Dorset and the South Coast. The team, which consists of both engineers and administrative staff, has adapted over time to meet ever-changing customer demands, and now includes teams specialising in installation, as well as a full-time alarm servicing and maintenance department.

Partnership Fire and Security provides customers with alarm and security-based installation and maintenance services, ranging from intruder alarms to CCTV systems and fire alarms to extinguishers. The team support projects through all stages, from design to completion, with numerous certificates of excellence and quality control to BAFE and SSAIB standards.

This is Ranger’s second acquisition in the South West alongside last year’s acquisition of Plymouth’s Universal Fire and Security Ltd, further building out its coverage in the region and further its mission to build a service that is truly national in scope.

Mark Bridges, CEO of Ranger Fire and Security, said: “Partnership Fire and Security marks our first acquisition of the year. We are delighted for them to become the latest addition to the team and bring their acute knowledge of the alarm and security sector to the Group.”

Nick Ogle, Managing Director of Partnership Fire and Security commented: “Over the past 27 years, we have worked hard to become one of the top choices for both businesses and high net worth properties across the South of England when it comes to the design and installation of fire alarm protection and security systems. We see the value in not rushing the installation process to ensure we are offering the best possible service, which leads to customers maintaining their systems through us throughout their lifecycle and beyond.

“We pride ourselves on our customer service and as part of the Ranger Group we are looking forward to working with other experts across the fire and security sector to reach even more customers in the area and further afield.”

Webinar FMJ and askporter: How to overcome the comms gap in FM with AI and tech tools

According to the 2026 UK Facilities Management Market Research Report by askporter, facilities management professionals want clear, verifiable evidence of work being delivered, with teams that can communicate progress in real time. This requires technology that is affordable, intuitive, and quick to adopt.

Yet the report found that:

Over three quarters of FM professionals (76 per cent) experience operational inefficiencies caused by siloed software which results in a lack of real-time visibility.

Communications challenges lead to maintenance issues, with 73 per cent of teams being forced into reactive problem-solving on a weekly basis.

A worrying level of compliance gaps, with 44 per cent of admitting that half or less of their compliance tasks are tracked and automated within their systems.

Closing this gap requires the establishment of transparent and consistent communications using affordable software that gives FM teams the ability to track, evidence and improve their services.

This webinar provides a valuable overview of the main findings of the report by askporter followed by a panel discussion by FM thought leaders on practical, strategic solutions that can help close this communications gap.
