IFMA reveals its Top Global FM Influencers list

The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) has unveiled its inaugural Top Global FM Influencers list, recognising individuals shaping the future of facility management through innovation, leadership and measurable impact.

A total of 36 professionals have been named in the list. The honourees represent the full spectrum of the FM profession — from sustainability and technology integration to workplace strategy, public health, operational excellence, research and more.

Michael V. Geary, CAE, IFMA President and CEO said: “People spend 90 per cent of their lives indoors – their homes, their workplaces, where they shop and play. Our Top Global FM Influencers are not just impacting facilities. They are affecting lives and changing them for the better.”

As part of the association’s year-long recognition of its 45 years of uniting facility professionals worldwide, IFMA is unveiling the list ahead of the World Workplace Conference and Expo, 17-19 September 2025, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

The list was curated to highlight those making a significant mark on the built environment — advancing sustainable operations, integrating emerging technologies, enhancing workplace experiences, and prioritising safe, resilient and people-centered spaces. From bold new approaches to proven, data-driven results, these influencers are elevating facility management and inspiring progress around the world.

Representing six continents and 13 countries, the honourees reflect the diversity and global scope of facility management. Through their work and platforms, they share ideas and innovations that transcend geography and language, amplifying FM’s role in creating environments that are secure, efficient and adaptable.

Christa Dodoo, CFM, FMP, CIWFM, CMQ/OE, Chair of the IFMA Global Board of Directors commented: “These influencers connect cultures, spark trends and inspire change across borders. Through their platforms, they share ideas, stories and innovations that affect millions, fostering global wellbeing via the built environment. Their ability to transcend language and geography amplifies FM’s role in ensuring facilities are safe, secure, resilient and efficient.”

Three of the named Influencers are from the UK:
