SAFETY FIRST - C.K’S SOLUTION FOR THE BEST
IN CABLE ROUTING
Every tradesman is familiar with cable
routing and the risks of splinters with
some cable rods. That became a
painful reality for Jason Price of Jason
Price Electrical Services, whose hand
was badly injured last year when a
cable rod by another supplier splintered
during use.
Thanks to C.K, Jason became the
proud owner of a C.K MightyRods PRO
Cable Rod Set, which are specifically
designed to combat the issues of
painful splintering and snapping, thanks
to an innovative SplinterShield coating - Europe’s first splinter-proof material -
that protects the rods and allows both safe e icient working conditions.
C.K realised that flexibility is also key to successful cable routing and
introduced its super-flexible SPIRA-FLEX rod, perfect for accessing tight corners,
bends and other obstacles. The super flexible and immensely tough SpiraFLEX
draw tape, o ers a major improvement on standard nylon and steel draw tapes,
which are o en prone to twisting and kinking.
The latest introduction – the C.K Gloworm Cable is perfectly designed for
running cables around tight corners, through insulation filled walls, underneath
flooring and across ceilings. Gloworm’s clever glow in the dark phosphorescent
polymer construction, aids routing in low light conditions and easier navigation
towards exit points. When charged under natural light, Gloworm provides an
e ective glow for up to 30 minutes.

IMPROVE WAREHOUSE SAFETY WITH
FORKLIFT TRUCK MATS
If you have ever worked in a factory or warehouse, you may be familiar with the
trails of water and dirt around the entrances that have been bought in by forkli
trucks. Not only can this make the floors unclean; but wet floors also increase
the risk of slip accidents, one of the main causes of injuries in the workplace.
Fortunately, there is now a solution to this problem.
Specially designed entrance mats can be fitted near the warehouse entrance
to scrape dirt and absorb water from the wheels of forkli trucks in the same way
that regular entrance mats work. The di erence is that the new Forkli Truck
Mats available from First Mats Ltd are substantially more durable, thanks to a
100% SBR Rubber backing and reinforced bi-level surface pattern. The mats have
been weight tested up to
6,300kg ensuring a long
life span.
They also pass
Flammability Standard
DOC-FF-1-70 and are
certified as slip resistant
by the National Floor
Safety Institute.
One of the biggest
advantages of these
Forkli Truck Mats,
compared with existing
alternatives, is that they can be fitted direct to the floor with adhesive tape so
there is no need to close the entrance for a long period of time to fit a recessed
mat system. Samples are available for free.

GUM GO – GUM – GONE!
The Duplex Jet
Vac Ultima Gum
Go is a robust
vacuumated
steam cleaner
with chemical
injection
designed to
tackle the
menace of
thoughtlessly
discarded
chewing gum. By
some estimates
up to 3.5 billion
pieces of chewing gum have been dropped on UK streets at one time or another.
The sheer quantity and di iculty in cleaning it away make this a massive
problem.
The Ultima Gum Go combines dry steam together with our exclusive Gum Go
chemical. This is applied through one specialist brush and squeegee tool using
a simple hand-held control, dissolving gum in seconds and then vacuuming the
residue away in one easy motion.
Gum Go works on all surfaces, indoors and out and the speed of the system
minimises disruption to high-tra ic areas whilst its e ectiveness transforms the
appearance of public spaces.
The Ultima Gum Go is accepted on the DEFRA Water Technology List allowing
UK businesses to write o the whole cost of the equipment against taxable
profits in the year of purchase.
