A new training and certification pathway has been launched by NEC for facilities management professionals.
The NEC4 Facilities Management Contract (FMC) Service Manager Accreditation programme has been designed to equip experienced professionals with the skills, authority and confidence to deliver facilities management services under NEC4 FMC contracts.
The programme reflects a broader shift within facilities management contracting – from reactive maintenance towards proactive, lifecycle-based asset management. Participants will develop a thorough understanding of how to work collaboratively and apply the systems and performance management tools central to NEC contracts, which are widely adopted and globally trusted.
The accreditation pathway blends online learning with practical, scenario-based sessions delivered by NEC’s specialist trainers. The programme begins with a preparatory online module, followed by four days of interactive face-to-face training in Manchester, with virtual attendance also available. On completion, participants will be invited to sit the NEC4 FMC Service Manager Accreditation assessment. Those who pass will receive an official NEC4 FMC Service Manager Accreditation certificate.
The next cohort takes place 27–30 April 2026. Places are available for up to six delegates.
